The Henry Vilas Park Zoological Society is collecting all used cell phones and their accessories, including batteries. Reusable phones are sold "handset only" to companies that refurbish these phones and redistribute them into developing markets such as Latin America for use by first-time, low income users. A portion of the workable phones are donated to local Hospitals for use by patients needing cell phones for emergency 911 calls. They are delivered by ECO-CELL with a charger and battery. All non-reusable cell phone and accessories are recycled. ECO-CELL has a strict NO LANDFILL policy. For more information, visit www.eco-cell.org
To further our conservation efforts, Henry Vilas Zoo is pleased to participate in the recycling of used printer cartridges. You can drop off your used ink cartridges at the Zoo gift shop. For more information, visit empties4cash.com WISH LIST Contributions of items on the Zoo's wish list are always welcome and appreciated. Current needs include items that enrich the environment for our animals. Other items include tools and equipment for the use of animal keepers and horticulture straff. Items should be new or in good condition. The value of your contirbution qualifies as a charitable deduction and will be receipted. The Henry Vilas Zoo accepts donations of goods and products on a limited basis. The following is the Zoo's Wish List of current needs.
