Kids Roo Run Run: September 28, 2014
Get your little "joeys" moving, too! The Roo Run Run will start at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 28 following the Zoo Run Run 10K and 5K Run/Walk. Kids ages 2 through 14 are eligible to participate. Participants will be able to choose from three different courses. Depending on their fitness level, Roo runners can run a quarter mile, a half mile, or a full mile. The first wave will be the full miles runners, the second wave will be the half mile runners, and the third will be the quarter mile runners.
The course will be held outside of the zoo - starting across from Vilas Park Beach on Vilas Park Drive and ending with the "joeys" running through the same finish line as the Zoo Run Run runners and walkers. Having the course outside of the Zoo will help parents find their children more easily and will be safer for all participants.
NOTE: If you are also participating in the 10K or 5K run/walk, please be sure to have a responsible adult available to accompany your child to the Roo Run Run.
